Fragments of a balloon of unknown origin with inscriptions in Cyrillic found in Poland
The Polish military is sounding the alarm, in the area of one of the military units, fragments of a balloon of unknown origin were found. Everything would be fine, but Cyrillic inscriptions were found on the ball.
Fragments of a "suspicious balloon" were found in the south-west of Poland, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Not only were they found near a large military unit and a training ground, Cyrillic inscriptions were also found on the ball. The Ministry of Defense of Poland is sounding the alarm stating that it could be a reconnaissance balloon of the Russian army. The antenna found among the fragments also adds fuel to the fire.
As stated in the law enforcement structures of the voivodship, local residents stumbled upon the remains of the ball, after which they reported the find to the police. Arriving at the scene, the police found a foam box and an antenna, as well as the balloon itself with "suspicious inscriptions."
At present, all the found elements of the balloon have been handed over to the military, who will carefully study them. According to experts, this could be a meteorological probe, but the military department decided to thoroughly study all the fragments in order to eliminate an error. At the same time, it is possible that this could be a reconnaissance probe launched by the Russian or Belarusian military. At the same time, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces notes that the system did not record violations of the airspace of the republic.
Recall that quite recently in the United States, a hunt began for meteorological probes, which were also not detected by air defense systems. According to Washington, these were "reconnaissance" balloons allegedly launched by China.
