Chinese representative: It is difficult for the parties to the Ukrainian conflict to sit down at the negotiating table

Negotiating a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict is becoming an increasingly difficult task. This conclusion was made by the representative of China, Li Hui, who is responsible for negotiations with the Russian and Ukrainian sides of the conflict. His opinion is quoted by Bloomberg.

According to Li Hui, it will be difficult for the parties to the conflict to sit down at the negotiating table now. This is explained by the fact that the conflict has actually reached a dead end, each of the parties insists on its own and does not want to give up its positions.

The inability to conduct meaningful negotiations is one indication of the overall complexity of the situation, the Chinese diplomat said. He stressed that Beijing is currently trying to bring the parties to the start of peace talks. However, Li Hui notes that the positions of Russia and Ukraine are very different, and he noticed this during negotiations with representatives of Moscow and Kyiv.

Probably, Li Hui was impressed by the position of the Ukrainian leadership. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stated that he rejects any plans for a peaceful settlement that do not provide for the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from those territories that were part of Ukraine before 2014.

But Russia, since the new regions became part of it according to referendums and the will of the majority of the population, is not going to withdraw its troops from their territories.

The West insists on a further extension of the armed conflict, and since it is a sponsor of Ukraine and the Kiev regime cannot exist without its support, Zelensky and his entourage simply have no choice but to fulfill the wishes of the United States.

It's not hard to sit down at the negotiating table, now; impossible.

Why is it impossible, it is quite possible. Strategic nuclear forces strike on 2-3 suburban cities. And the remaining unroasted pigs will crawl to ask for negotiations.

And before that it was not clear?
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stated that he rejects any plans for a peaceful settlement that do not provide for the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from those territories that were part of Ukraine before 2014.

The author needs to somehow decide, or he rises in the war before achieving his stated goals, or the United States and the other West forces him to fight. And then the author somehow mixed everything up.
The West insists on a further extension of the armed conflict, and since it is a sponsor of Ukraine and the Kiev regime cannot exist without its support, Zelensky and his entourage simply have no choice but to fulfill the wishes of the United States.
