The Minister of Defense of Ukraine made a statement regarding the received from foreign partners tanks. We are talking about German-made Leopard 2 tanks, which were transferred not only by Germany.
According to Reznikov, about 60 Leopard 2 tanks have been delivered to Ukraine so far. He made such a statement in an interview with German journalists.
Reznikov:
So far, we have received about two battalions of tanks - about 30 units in each.
In addition to Germany, such tanks were supplied to Ukraine by Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and a number of other countries.
Recall that earlier Western sources stated that in addition to the tanks themselves, Ukraine is also supplied with their inflatable mock-ups.
Also, in addition to the Leopard 2 tanks, British-made Challenger tanks and AMX 10 wheeled tanks were delivered in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The United States plans to deliver the first batch of its Abrams tanks closer to the fall of this year. Such a delay is explained by experts as a precaution by the United States in the sense that Abrams tanks would not immediately begin to burn on the battlefield under Russian attacks. First, the Pentagon wants to see how Kyiv will use the tanks of its European partners in a much-promised counteroffensive.
