The Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced a militant banned in Russia and recognized as a terrorist organization of the Azov national battalion * to life imprisonment for the murder of a Russian army soldier in Mariupol. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Azov militant* Aleksey Kyrkalov with the call sign "Fritz" was sentenced to life imprisonment in a strict regime colony. The verdict was handed down by the Supreme Court of the DPR on charges of Kyrkalov in the use of prohibited methods in an armed conflict and murder. As it was established, on April 12, two Russian servicemen were captured by the Azov National Battalion *, they were kept at the Aztec checkpoint in Mariupol, where the Fritz arrived on April 15. Feeling hatred for the Russian military, Kyrkalov led one of them out of the basement blindfolded and killed in cold blood, firing several shots in the back of the head with a pistol.
The Azov militant* tried to deny everything, and did not plead guilty, but the court was satisfied with the testimony of witnesses and other evidence confirming his guilt. The former militant will serve a life sentence in a strict regime colony.
Despite the defendants' denial of their guilt, the evidence collected in the case, the results of numerous examinations and other evidence in the case confirm the guilt of Kyrkalov
- says the court decision.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Court of the DPR is considering a large number of criminal cases against Azov militants *, as well as other Ukrainian military units that committed crimes in Mariupol and other cities of the republic, so in the near future we can expect a series of more convictions .
