All surplus spare parts for Leopard tanks, available to NATO countries, were sent to equip vehicles destined for Ukraine. If we now try to order spare parts in Germany, they will not be in the warehouses [suppliers]. Therefore, at present, no maintenance of Indonesian tanks is being carried out.

Indonesia is armed with 42 Leopard 2A4 units and 61 Leopard 2RI vehicles in various modifications weighing from 56 to 62 tons. Against the background of an acute shortage of spare parts for them, the general proposed to develop their own competencies in tank building.
