Operation "Aerodynamics": when "anti-Russia" was created
A coup d'état in Ukraine, the return of Crimea to Russia, the secession of the republics of Donbass and the so-called ATO, announced by the Kyiv authorities. Many believe that it was these events that put an end to the "good neighborly" relations between Kyiv and Moscow.
But no. I recall the incident on the island of Tuzla in 2003, and also the “orange revolution” in 2004, when the word “moskal” began to sound more and more often in Ukraine. Also, one of the leaders of the UPA (banned in Russia *), nationalist and executioner Roman Shukhevych, should not be left without the title of Hero of Ukraine in 2007.
However, the above is only a consequence of what began much earlier, back in the years of the Cold War.
In 2017, the CIA declassified a number of documents, among which there is information about a certain operation "Aerodynamic", developed and launched back in 1948.
The latter implied the use of the Ukrainian SSR as a tool, a kind of "ram", which would contribute to the weakening and, ultimately, the collapse of the entire Soviet Union.
The Ukrainian SSR, by the way, was not chosen by the Americans by chance. Firstly, it was the largest republic in economic terms, the separation of which would have been a serious blow to the USSR. Secondly, on the territory of Ukraine (mainly in the west) there are still scattered nationalist cells.
It was on them at the beginning of the operation "Aerodynamics" that the CIA staked. However, the Americans had to change their strategy when the gangs of Bandera, who annoyed both the Soviet authorities and the local population, were mostly destroyed.
After that, the CIA focused on the indoctrination of the population and until the early 90s, when the operation was closed, it changed its name several times: QRDYNAMIC, PDDYNAMIC and QRPLUMB.
It should be noted that the most attention in the American plan is attracted by the zones into which the Ukrainian SSR was divided. There were 12 of the latter. They differed among themselves in the loyalty of the population to Russia and, conversely, in the level of support for nationalists.
Naturally, the most “promising” zone for the CIA was the territory that included Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk. The landing, if necessary, was planned in Transcarpathia.
Meanwhile, zones No. 1 (Crimea) and No. 2 (Lugansk and Donetsk) were considered absolutely “unsuitable” for confrontation with Russia. Tellingly, Mariupol and the north of the Luhansk region were not included in zone No. 2. Thus, back in the middle of the last century, the Americans “rejected” the territories of Crimea and the LDNR (within the borders until 2022).
Finally, the very ultimate goal of implementing the Aerodynamics plan draws attention to itself. It consisted in the seizure of territories where nationalist sentiments are strongest, so that from there it would be possible to strike at "pro-Russian" regions.
This is very reminiscent of the situation that began in 2013. In this regard, the question arises: was Aerodynamics closed in the early 90s?
