Class 5A ceramic plate for body armor 6B45 "Warrior": reliability test

Reliable protection, along with weapons, is a key point in the course of combat operations. This is especially true of high-intensity conflicts, to which the Russian NWO belongs.

The RF Armed Forces use several types of body armor. The main one is 6B45, which is part of the Ratnik equipment.

The latter is equipped with class 5A "Granit" ceramic armor plates. One of these products, manufactured in St. Petersburg, decided to test the strength of the author of the channel "Soldier of Fortune".

First, a single shot was fired at the armor plate from a machine gun with a 7,62x39 mm cartridge with a steel core. Distance - 10 meters.

Then the product was “shot” in bursts using a 5,45 × 39 mm cartridge. The distance is the same.

Finally, as a control test, a 7,62x39 mm cartridge was fired again at the already fairly “shabby” plate, but in its upper part.

After 6-7 hits on the 5A class ceramic plate, there was not a single through penetration, which indicates the high reliability of such protection.

However, during the experiment, the author mentioned that one of these plates had previously been pierced when it hit the upper part. However, according to him, this was most likely due to a defective product.

In this case, it remains only to hope that such a substandard will not get to the front. After all, the life and health of our military directly depend on this.

Survive after being shot by a burst from a distance of 10 meters!
Once upon a time it was a fantasy
How much less would it be two hundredths if everyone had such armor ...

Yes, it's still fantastic. Nobody canceled the armored defeat.

          need to check

so each armor is checked, but not with bursts from a machine gun
Here if you are interested. This is not journalistic balabolism, but a scientific article.

In a nutshell, it is possible to protect yourself from the penetrating effect of bullets with plates, but practically not from armor damage. Physics. The energy doesn't go anywhere.

KAPs. All the stories about armored impact come from Afghanistan / Chechnya and old armors, from which all half of the interior was pulled out.

The key here is pressure distribution.
We recall the entertaining physics, in which of the cases the pressure per unit area will be higher, from the elephant's foot or from the hairpin of a lady's shoe)

The best armor plates in terms of protection class br5, according to the recognition of all our specialists, are made by the Moscow, Shchelkovo silk-weaving factory.
Whoever is in the subject, keep in mind!

The last time the Soldier of Fortune shot this plate was a failure. I even got upset then. But then he came across a defective slab (the percentage of marriage is unknown, but, unfortunately, it takes place), just like when shooting the Monolith. Razvedos made a bombing video about this, but his monolith survived (apparently, a defective slab also came across). In addition, the Soldier has a video of shooting a captured Lviv bionic (the armor itself is shit, but the plate is good). Well, one of the best, as the person above wrote, are plates from the Shchelkovo factory, but the prices for it are horse.

PS I bought 6b45 myself. Then he hung it with side and inguinal (they are unified) slabs (class 6a), and inserted 4rs granite into the lower back (the video of this slab being shot is also available on the Soldier of Fortune channel, where the slab itself proved to be very worthy).

6b45 is good for everyone (finish the neck protection) except for the colors. Throw slippers at me, but still camouflage properties on 2+

I don’t know how, but judging by other comments, the opposite side of the stove doesn’t really hold ... 5,45x39, doubts should always take place ..

Dear author, carefully study the current regulatory documentation: GOST R 50744-95 "Armored clothing" (https://internet-law.ru/gosts/gost/7265/) with classification 5A and 6A has not been valid for four years!!! The new requirements are set out in GOST 34286-2017 (https://internet-law.ru/gosts/gost/69837/). Well, to the heap, GOST R 55623-2013 - test methods ...
It is clear that bloggers are not up to meeting the requirements of expert organizations, because it is expensive and boring for the viewer. The same "Soldier of Fortune" has interesting videos about titanium and the "granite 4rs" slab. I recommend, however, to pay attention to "Razvedos" and the work of the RUS, as well as the plates of the Shchelkovo silk-weaving factory (http://bronya-shop.ru/image/cache/data/armor%20plate/2022-04-19_151610-600x600.jpg and https://sun1-84.userapi.com/NexauySPs-ZQPywD51HrdKeM9sWDJMuiadktHw/WOfD-zz20eo.jpg)
