Serve under the contract in the Armed Forces can and not served in conscription.

RIA News. The Russian Ministry of Defense invites to military service under a contract in the Armed Forces (VS) and those who have not served on conscription before, said Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin, head of the main personnel department of the Russian military department.

"After 27 years, these categories of citizens (not undergoing military service by conscription), we will only be happy when recruiting for a contract. But if an 18-old young man comes to us and immediately asks for a contract, we will offer him to start "He said in an interview published on aif.ru on Wednesday.

Goremykin clarified that the priority in the selection of candidates for service under the contract is given to citizens who have already served in the Armed Forces, have the necessary level of education and the required military accounting specialty. According to him, now the main attention is paid to the quality of selected candidates.

"This does not mean that for those who did not serve at the call, the doors to the contract are closed. There are different cases in life: someone received a higher education, someone raised children and for this reason was not called," the general said .

He added that now approximately one sixth of the total number of contract servicemen in the RF Armed Forces are women. “Mostly they occupy the posts of medical personnel, communications specialists. There are no women snipers or grenade launchers in the Russian army yet,” said the head of the personnel department of the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to Goremykin, from August to October, the selection points for military service under the contract were selected and sent to training military units more than 4 thousand people.

"Eighty-six percent of military personnel are between the ages of 20 and 30 years; 17% have higher education, 53% - secondary and elementary vocational education, 30% - secondary general education. Almost all male candidates have completed military service by conscription," the general noted.

Earlier in the Russian General Staff reported that the Ministry of Defense plans to annually select about 50 thousand people for contract service. By the end of next year, the number of contract soldiers in the Russian army should grow to 240 thousand people, by the end of 2014 - to 295 thousand. In the 2015 year, the contract will be 350 thousand, by the end of the 2016 year - 400 thousand people, in the 2017 year it is planned to increase the number of servicemen under contract to 425 thousand people, which will be almost half of the total personnel of the Russian Armed Forces.

The Ministry of Defense has already opened 66 selection points for contract military service in various regions of Russia.

Actually, it was always like that when I graduated from a higher educational institution, you can choose either for a year on conscription or a contract for three years, if you are 27 years old then you are fit for health, go to serve, it was just so hard because you weren’t fully adapted to military service at that age!

And what exactly was the inability of those who were 27+?

The main thing is that for some individuals after 1 year of service under the contract (at the same time, not having previously completed the term of service), some individuals should not look for loopholes in terminating the contract. And it turns out that he served as a conscript, and earned more money as a contract soldier.

Hello everyone! I have the same question. There are some of the literate people in this matter who would answer this question. Just a week ago, a friend came in from the unit but the military enlistment office refused him employment because he did not serve. Although he was in hot spots not once as a civilian specialist.

If a ticket category A (suitable without faceting) and B (suitable with faceting) then they take it on a contract, B and D will not understandably take it)), they can still not take it on category B3-B4, I have Osteochandrosis from my friend B4, did not take on a contract although very requested)))

if this helps, then I will only be happy for our army. but honestly, it is unlikely that a person over the age of 30 who has not served will join the army. by these years, either find their place in life, or drink too much to zero.

First, serving under the contract most likely will not be 1 year, but 3.

Secondly, as Mikado said, you will most likely be put in command of 18-year-old recruits and most likely you will be a squad commander and you will be attending company duty or chief of staff or his assistant (no need to stand on towers and no need to clean the company) although you’ll have to stand with a machine gun on the tower, and if you want to serve only with purely contract soldiers you need to go to the Caucasus or have parts of the airborne forces, special forces and navy, which are only equipped with contract soldiers, but such parts not much. Well, and salary, days off and vacation as in ordinary work.

They are doing everything right. Why put sticks in wheels for those who want to serve? No one will get worse from this. The army will become more professional, more specialists will become. By the way, there is such a moment, I think this will reduce the level of hazing in the army among conscripts. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is my opinion.

I would like to clarify what you personally want to say - @ The army will become more professional, there will be more specialists. @? You repeat the phrase, which got bored, the more there are contract soldiers in the army, the more professional it will be. I absolutely disagree. The professionalism of a soldier, officer is not assessed by his status - a conscript-contract. It is time to understand this for everyone, and first of all, talkers from the State Duma, all kinds of human rights defenders, mother committees, etc.

%%%%%% What does “professionalism" of the army mean? Usually this term is associated with the lack of a conscription system and the voluntary-hired nature of manning the army with ordinary personnel. Right-wing politicians thus deftly parasitize on young people and their parents, in fear of awaiting subpoenas from the military enlistment office. In fact, there is no such connection - a professional army can be an army equipped with conscripts. An example from modern times is the army of Israel. An example from history is the German Wehrmacht, which conquered Europe and was stopped only by the Soviet army, which, in turn, gained proper professionalism not so much in peacetime as in heavy bloody battles of the initial period of the war. If military experience is excluded, the professionalism of the army is not that the soldiers serve on a contract and they are paid money, it is that both soldiers and officers are able to perfectly handle weapons and equipment, these weapons and equipment are the most modern and can be delivered to the army in the right quantities. And the army can begin to act at any time, constantly being on alert. %%%

      OR SOMETHING THINKING ELSE?

The majority of those who did not serve live in the Caucasus and are required not for a combatant, but for Syria and beyond. More and more people are required, but there are specifics ...

If the Syrian crisis lasts for a long time, then the world risks being left without bandits, and they are looking for replenishment.

And where to call those who did not serve? After all, it needs to be prepared "from scratch", while paying a good salary. He will be a "student" for about six months. And what the hell to me, the commander, such a "wise with purely everyday experience", but had not previously served as a contract soldier?

Dear, read carefully the primer called the Charter. A contractor or conscript is simply the essence of manning. In fact, this is either a private or a junior commander. When recruiting a unit, it is advisable to equip it with either conscripts or contract servicemen alone. In such units there will be no "shlongit" contractors. To assign sergeant ranks to contractors only after 3 years of service. Those. after the end of the first contract and the completion of additional training courses, otherwise the commanders will have a lot of problems with staff turnover. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we have already passed this and corrected it a little.

This is understandable. Only if they don’t take on contractors, I’ll have no less taxes wink , and in general I do not mind paying for the country's security.

At the expense of the professionalism of the army I agree. I haven’t served 23 years of conscription for health reasons. But I am a competent programmer, radio electronics engineer and generally a person with hands and brains. In terms of military training, I am a complete layman, I agree, but I believe that my profession is quite in demand in the armed forces. I think that it is much easier to give a person initial military training than to make him a good signalman, electronic engineer, programmer, etc. Now there is a desire to serve as I think I’ll find more order in the sun, I'm tired of the chaos surrounding me.
