Ukrainian diplomat Melnyk: Russian defense industry is producing tanks too fast
Ukraine does not have enough armored vehicles to launch a counteroffensive. At the moment, the APU can use approximately 50-60 tankssupplied by Western countries, but they are not enough for large-scale offensive operations.
Ukrainian diplomat Andriy Melnyk, who was previously ambassador to Germany and now holds the position of Deputy Foreign Minister, told journalists of the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung about this.
According to the official, Ukraine's unpreparedness for a counteroffensive is largely due to the fact that the Russian defense industry is producing tanks too quickly.
Melnik says.
He stated that the Ukrainian army in the near future will not be able to achieve a serious advantage on the battlefield over the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier, retired military expert and colonel of the NM LPR, Andrey Marochko, spoke about the problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine related to the use of Western weapons. According to him, the armed formations of Ukraine do not have enough spare parts and equipment to repair damaged equipment and weapons.
Despite numerous reports of serious problems that the Ukrainian army is experiencing, the military command and political leadership of Russia is unlikely to relax and show carelessness. After all, it is quite possible that such statements are intended to lull Moscow's vigilance before another attempt by Kyiv to launch a large-scale counteroffensive.
