BvS10 all-terrain vehicles spotted in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine

As a result of the massive deliveries of Western military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the arsenal of the Ukrainian army has been steadily expanding since the start of the special operation of the RF Armed Forces. Currently, over 160 models of combat systems are in service with the troops of the Kyiv regime: tanks various types, wheeled and tracked vehicles, artillery, anti-tank systems.

Their maintenance in operation is very difficult due to the lack of maintenance infrastructure, which in many cases leads to cannibalization or repair abroad.

- noted in the Western press.

At the same time, this "menagerie" continues to grow steadily. Recently, a new type of equipment was seen in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine - all-terrain vehicles BvS10. As stated in the publication Army Recognition, one of the machines was delivered from Italy, and the second from the UK or the Netherlands.

The BvS10 is an off-road tracked amphibious armored vehicle developed by the Swedish company BAE Systems Hägglunds for use in difficult conditions. The main function of the BvS10 is to transport troops and equipment (carrying capacity up to 5 tons) over difficult terrain, including snow, swamps and mountains. She is able to cross water barriers and support landing operations.

It is clear that the press is already writing about what and in what quantity is supplied to Ukraine.
The question remains open - how and why?

Two-link all-terrain vehicles have really unimaginable cross-country ability.
Only it’s not clear to me, is a mannequin-cadaver sticking out of the hatch for testing or a living person? If alive, then with my compression of the spine, somehow my back immediately pulled.

Yes, and in the conditions of hostilities, it is so dangerous to stick out of the hatch, even for a better view.

Most likely it will not reach the bullets and shrapnel. It shakes on a bump and crunches in the lower back - a wheelchair user is disabled. The spine flexes very poorly backwards.
So I think it's a mannequin. Although I looked at the magnification and found a photo on other resources, I did not come to an unambiguous conclusion.

Will go to study. Maybe it will be useful for the civil sphere as well.

The BvS10 is a tracked, articulated, amphibious armored transporter. The BvS10 can carry up to 12 people, is protected against ballistics and anti-tank mines, and additional protection is provided by smoke grenade launchers *. It can carry up to six tons of cargo and has a cargo compartment volume of 2,5 m3 + 6,5 m3. (The cargo compartment area of 9 cubic meters is equal to 3 square meters)
*(A smoke grenade launcher is a device for quickly setting up camouflage smoke or aerosol screens in the immediate vicinity of a vehicle. A smoke grenade launcher protects against visual detection and aiming weapons at an object)

Where and when else can you test and properly test the effectiveness of weapons if not on the outskirts?

I understand that the topic is fashionable, but pulling an owl on a globe like this ... If you wish, you can carry troops on a Cossack, and if you also tie a bath on wheels to it, then there will be a conveyor for all transporters. And now seriously - this particular all-terrain vehicle was developed as a purely civilian version. It was intended for the needs of geological exploration in rocky-mountainous and swampy areas, and I must say that with its workhorse function it is for delivering equipment and bearded geologists to where the wolves are afraid to sit down for a minute, he copes with five plus. As a military vehicle, the value of this cart is measured on a negative scale - VERY slow, VERY high profile, and VERY noisy. And if to these three VERY complete lack of protection is added, then for those who will be carried in this wagon, you can put candles in advance.

    Some pathetic menagerie looms

If a caterpillar conveyor is being discussed, of which there are already two (!) Pieces

Straight Tigers, Panthers ... We would be ashamed of such analogies, menagerie. Dills are still fighting on the junk that was brought to them from the world by thread. Not a single modern Western-style AFV, except for MRAP

That's when people like in the picture appear on the battlefield, then there will be a "menagerie"

How far will such cars reach if they are delivered to Ukraine - to Melitopol or to Berdyansk right away?

A comparison with 1941 suggests itself, the Germans included in their army the equipment of all the countries of conquered Europe, the German technicians themselves constantly had problems with such a "zoo", now the Ukrainians are tormented with repairs and that.

The Germans are great in this regard - they used all the resources that came to them. Moreover, the uniqueness of the German trophy and alterations is that they used them in their best years. While the allies and the USSR used the trophies on the contrary, to close the shortcomings, while their own was better.
