President of Belarus Lukashenko announced the detention of 30 people in the case of sabotage in Machulishchi
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in his message to the citizens of the country and the National Assembly today, said that the Belarusian special services had detained 30 people in the case of sabotage in Machulishchi. It's about trying to attack with drones A Russian AWACS A-50 aircraft at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk in late February.

According to the President of Belarus, the saboteur was trained by representatives of the SBU, and the Belarusian opposition helped him hide in the country. A criminal case was initiated against the detainee on the fact of an attempt to commit a terrorist act.
The KGB of Belarus reported that immediately after the arrest, the suspect began to actively cooperate with the investigation, which allowed the security forces to quickly identify the rest of the defendants involved in organizing the attack on the plane. After that, Lukashenka said that he had instructed "to carry out the most severe cleansing throughout the country" in relation to those who harbor terrorist plans.

The President separately noted that the most modern high-tech means were involved in the attack on the aircraft. However, this did not help the saboteurs to evade responsibility. Moreover, Lukashenka stressed, the reaction of the special services was instantaneous.
