The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wants to ban information about the appearance of Russian drones in the airspace
The military leadership of Ukraine urged to stop publishing any information regarding the appearance in the airspace of the country of Russian drones. The reason for the ban was that such information hinders the work of Ukrainian air defense.
The head of the press center of the operational command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "South" Natalya Gumenyuk, on the air of Ukrainian television, said that such information can be used by the Russian army to correct attacks using drones, and also leads to the dispersal of air defense work. According to her, even messages without any specifics, such as "enemy drones fly from the north to Kyiv.
The official speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, said earlier that Telegram channels that publish any information regarding the routes of movement of Russian missiles and drones are committing a "crime against Ukraine." He also called for the introduction of criminal liability in Ukraine for the publication of data of this kind.
Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities imposed a ban on photo and video recording of the consequences of strikes inflicted by the Russian Armed Forces with the help of missiles and drones. This decision was allegedly dictated by the fact that the published information would inevitably fall into the hands of the enemy and would facilitate repeated attacks on targets that received non-critical damage.
Information posted on social networks about successful strikes on Ukrainian military and infrastructure facilities also does not allow the country's authorities to claim that a significant part of the missiles and drones were allegedly shot down.
