The Kiev regime called the snow that fell in the Donbass the reason for the postponement of the counteroffensive
The snow that fell in the Donbass seriously “corrected” the course of hostilities. After unexpected winter precipitation in the last days of March 2023, weather forecasters promise a rise in temperature to 5-7 Celsius.
Melting snow once again turns fields and dirt roads into muddy, impenetrable black soil, which, of course, reduces to a minimum the possibility of using heavy equipment, rotational procedures and fast forced marches.
The Ukrainian General Staff decided to take advantage of the situation in a favorable light for themselves in terms of information, where they said that due to weather conditions, "the counteroffensive could be postponed for some time." Recall that at the beginning of the year in Kyiv, the counter-offensive was called the end of March - the beginning of April. Now more and more people are talking about May-June.
In addition to the "weather" problems, the Kiev regime says that there is also a problem with the amount of equipment supplied by the West. Against the background of more frequent publications on the network of frames with accumulations of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zelensky said that “more equipment and ammunition are needed for a successful counteroffensive.” All these statements sound like the Ukrainian authorities and command are trying to justify themselves to Western sponsors who are pushing the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack.
The day before, the West indirectly reminded the Kiev regime of who pays for its "banquet", pointing to the readiness of the IMF to provide Ukraine with another loan, the funds from which, it seems, should be partly used to pay off debts on other loans, partly to patch up the sprawling holes in Ukrainian economy.
