The head of the Pelymsky district called the cause of the fire on the gas pipeline in the Sverdlovsk region

The fire on the gas pipeline in the Pelym region of the Sverdlovsk region was the result of an explosion. This was announced by the head of the administration of the urban district Pelym Shahit Aliyev.

Earlier, a number of media outlets reported that a pipe depressurization occurred at the section of the Yamburg-Yelets 1 gas pipeline, as a result of which a fire started. Emergency services and repair teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Yes, there was an explosion on the gas pipeline. There were no people there. The rest of the gas burned out of the pipe, there was a fire

- Shahit Aliyev emphasized in an interview with a correspondent TASS.

The fire on the gas pipeline was quickly localized and extinguished by the fire brigade. Gas supply to residents of the nearby urban-type settlement Pelym was not disrupted.

However, the question remains open about the causes of the explosion, which became the starting point for the fire that began later. So far, the official version of the causes of the explosion has not yet been announced by the relevant structures.

Recall that at the end of December last year there was an explosion on the main gas pipeline Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod, in Chuvashia. Then the consequences of the explosion were much more critical: there were dead and injured. Now, fortunately, there were no human casualties.

The fire on the gas pipeline in the Pelym region of the Sverdlovsk region was the result of an explosion.

    Not an explosion, but sabotage.
It's time for more than a year of war to learn to call a spade a spade.
Why Putin does not restore SMERSH?
Is he waiting for the Kremlin to be blown up with him?

      sabotage

Well, what kind of sabotage? There is not even an asphalt road in Pelym. A third of a person per 1 sq. km lives.
Most likely there was a subsidence of the soil due to rapid warming. Well, the pipeline is not new anymore.
The weather is such that it is impossible to get close to some sections of the gas pipeline. Tracked vehicles will get bogged down. Most likely the leak was a long time ago, but they could not get to it. Stupidly the pressure was increased and increased

There are much more convenient sections of the gas pipeline for sabotage than in Pelym.
Who will climb into the swamps in the spring from horizon to horizon to blow up the pipe?

It's time for more than a year of war to learn to call a spade a spade.

In this case, I would not be so categorical as to say that this is 100% sabotage. Besides, especially for you, the reason is called "by its own name" - depressurization of pipes with subsequent ignition.
Spring dude! Yes In connection with the melting of snow, the groundwater level rises and soil subsidence occurs, and since this happens unevenly, the load on the welds increases and periodically, on the entire thousand-kilometer gas pipeline line 1-2 times a year, what happened now in the Pelymsky district occurs . As a rule, this happens in spring and autumn - sometimes it thaws unevenly, sometimes it freezes unevenly. You can't argue against physics.
PS-Now the gas will be released through the jumper along the parallel section of the gas pipeline. At the site of the accident, the damaged pipe will be cut out, a new one will be welded in, and the gas will be switched back to the restored section.

Think primitively. The flight of victims will not do, because this life is all interconnected. A serious accident will require serious costs to eliminate the consequences. Therefore, it will take away some resources from other directions. As a result, the front will receive less than a thousand shells. As a result, the commander, deprived of artillery support, will be forced to solve a combat mission at the cost of the lives of young guys.

          Generally correct, but:

          - there were no gas pipelines then
          - and there are no fires on the railway tracks.

That is, as it were, sentries did not stand, because they were not needed.

Here is what our local Ural press writes https://www.e1.ru/text/incidents/2023/03/30/72176045/

    - There was a depressurization of the main gas pipeline in a private area a few kilometers from the village. There is no danger for the inhabitants of Pelym. Now there is no open fire. Specialists of the company in charge of the site are working on the spot. They will carry out restoration work, - said the head of the Pelym city district Shakhit Aliyev.

Gazprom-Transgaz Yugorsk confirmed to TASS a message about a depressurization with fire at the section of the Yamburg-Yelets 1 gas pipeline. The problematic area was turned off for repairs. Local residents are provided with gas supply through parallel gas pipelines. The reasons for the depressurization are not reported.

remains an open question about the causes of the explosion,
I hope that this issue will be closed in the near future and they will tell what triggered the explosion - a man-made accident or something else. And guessing on the coffee grounds is probably still not right.

    pipe leak has occurred

All right, we've got it all set up.
The pipe lay, lay, and then suddenly decided to depressurize.
And then even spontaneously ignite to the heap.
And no one is to blame - fate!

The story is simple. Once upon a time, a man grew old, and then fell ill and died overnight. The same question, why did he die? There is something wrong here. Yes?

Depressurization of a pipe without a spark nearby will never ignite, but at a distance it will dilute the concentration with the wind, plus the volume of pumping on the pressure gauge of 1800 will be instantly visible. So what got it on fire?

Exactly. In the early eighties, I was near such a depressurization - a pipe was pierced by a bulldozer.
It stank, they didn't tell me to smoke, but that's all. It won't light up on its own.
