Turkish President Erdogan allowed the visit of the head of the Russian state in April
It is possible that President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will visit Turkey on April 27, 2023. This was stated by Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to journalists of the A Haber TV channel.
According to Erdogan, Putin may take part in the solemn ceremony of loading nuclear fuel at the Akkuyu nuclear power plant, which is being built with the direct participation of the Russian Federation.
- said Erdogan.
Recall that the Akkuyu nuclear power plant will be the first nuclear power plant in Turkey. It is being built in the province of Mersin, within the framework of the Russian-Turkish agreement concluded in May 2010. In December 2022, the Connector company from Miass (Chelyabinsk region) completed the completion of the Turkish nuclear power plant with connectors.
Despite the current situation around Ukraine, Russia and Turkey continue to actively cooperate in a number of areas, one of them is the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant, which is of strategic importance for the Turkish state. Erdogan considers the Russian-Turkish agreements on the construction of a nuclear power plant to be a great achievement for Ankara, which will significantly strengthen the country's energy sector after the final completion of work.
As for the recent decision of the ICC, Turkey, as you know, also does not recognize the jurisdiction of this organization and therefore is not going to take any hostile actions against the Russian leader, unlike the European countries - US satellites.
