Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: French Mirage 2000 fighters are worse than Russian Su-35s, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not need them
The Kiev regime continues to evaluate Western military equipment and draw conclusions, often not in its favor. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has denied information about a possible transfer of French Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft to Ukraine.
As Reznikov noted, Ukraine will not ask France for aircraft of this type, since this is not necessary.
- the head of the Ukrainian military department spoke unflatteringly about the French aircraft.
According to Reznikov, the Ukrainian Air Force already has the MiG-29 fighter, which is able to “see” with a radar for 60 km. It can hit air targets at a distance of 30 km. The Russian Su-35 fighter plane "sees" more than 200 kilometers, and hits targets at a distance of more than 140 kilometers.
The French Mirage 2000 fighters have performance similar to the MiG-29, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine stressed. Therefore, his transfer does not make sense for the Ukrainian air force. If Ukraine needs planes, then more modern ones, Reznikov stressed.
Earlier, the official representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, spoke unflatteringly about the MiG-29 aircraft transferred by Slovakia and Poland. According to him, they are outdated and inefficient, and Kyiv would need more modern and efficient aircraft.
Recall that the Mirage 2000 aircraft is a fourth-generation fighter, which was developed back in the 1970s. It is currently in service with the air forces of France, Brazil, Taiwan, Egypt, India, Qatar, Peru, the United Arab Emirates and a number of other states.
