The Minister of Defense of Ukraine named three criteria for the “victory” of the Kyiv regime in the conflict
There are three conditional criteria that can be applied to the outcome of the Ukrainian conflict in order to determine whether Kyiv will “win” in it. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov. In his opinion, the fulfillment of the three points will mean the "victory" of the Kyiv regime in the confrontation with Russia.
The items themselves are impressive. The first of them is the restoration of the borders of Ukraine as of 1991, and Crimea should also become part of the country, Reznikov believes. The fact that Russia will never comply with this clause has been repeatedly said. But Kyiv officials are also not going to make concessions on this issue.
The second point is to ensure "freedom and security" so that Ukrainian citizens can "take a flight in Kyiv and fly wherever they want." This point, by the way, is not being fulfilled now by the Ukrainian leadership. It was Kyiv that closed the borders for men of working age, otherwise all Ukrainian citizens of military age would have gone “wherever they want”, perhaps with the exception of a number of fanatics.
Finally, the third point is the adoption by the International Criminal Court in The Hague of a decision in the case of "war criminals" from Russia. By the way, this court is not recognized not only by Russia, but also by many other countries, including the United States, not to mention China, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey.
At least two points out of three speak of a complete rupture of the ideas and desires of the Ukrainian minister with reality. Russia will never satisfy them, and it is difficult to imagine the circumstances that would force Moscow to fulfill them. As for the freedom of movement of Ukrainian citizens, Reznikov can ask this question to himself or to his boss, President Volodymyr Zelensky. Russia is not building any barriers here and is not going to build.
