As it became known, the militants who earlier attacked the police station (according to other sources, the police department post) in the Chechen city of Gudermes were eliminated as a result of a special operation on the outskirts of the same Gudermes. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to Kadyrov, the security forces carried out a well-considered, quick and most effective operation, so that the criminals did not even have time to come to their senses. It took the security forces less than 20 minutes to eliminate them, the head of the Chechen Republic noted.
The information was worked out long before the climax. This was preceded by the operational work of law enforcement officers together with special services.

After establishing the exact location of the militants, employees of law enforcement agencies moved there in several armored vehicles, which cut off the escape route for the militants. According to Kadyrov, the special operation was carried out at night, which is "inconvenient for the shaitans."
He also noted that the militants did not even suspect that they were being "led" until they were in the ring.
Surrounded militants were offered to surrender, in response to which they threw a grenade. As a result, they were destroyed. It is reported about the elimination of two militants.
