Turkey launches first guided missile from sea drone

In Turkey, for the first time, exercises were conducted with the sea dronearmed with a guided cruise missile.

The MARLIN sea drone entered the specified area of the water area, took up a position for a missile launch, after which the missile was launched at a given target.

The information is confirmed by the Department of Defense Industry of Turkey. Recall that this department and its head Ismail Demir are under US sanctions for military-technical cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Ismail Demir commented on the test launch of a cruise missile from a naval drone on a social network:

We are developing new capabilities for our maritime drones. For the first time, a KUZGUN solid-propellant cruise missile was fired from the side drone MARLIN. These are guided munitions that we have not previously launched from drones.

The rocket was fixed on a special metal holder in the stern of the sea drone.

Moreover, on the frames you can see a montage of several fragments with a drone, including an option without demonstrating a rocket on board.

Not so impressive. The drone looks like a regular remote controlled gunboat, and the rocket holder looks like someone made it in their garage. Better was expected from the Turks. The sailing drones that the US uses, while not armed, still look like something from the future.

So they did it for functionality tests and not for an exhibition of design art. hi

So the whole point is to test the launcher on the water. When it shows the desired result, it will be possible to mount it even in the Queen Victoria cruise liner)

It's just that the Turks see the prospect of such developments and the opportunity to make money on them. Moreover, they did not start doing this "suddenly".
And do not sleep, unlike some.

Somehow, this iron stool does not look very natural at the stern of a beautiful boat ... Not so hot as kosher ... laughing

Bad news. Such a missile drone is the dream of ill-brothers to attack the Crimea and the Caucasian coast.

    Why?
    They are doing business.
And let others pull the pipes.
