Japan passes budget with record military spending

Against the background of the aggravation of the situation around Taiwan and the periodic launches of North Korean missiles, Japan is increasingly paying attention to strengthening its military forces. Obviously, this is done at the suggestion of Washington and not so much because of the DPRK, but to counter Beijing.

According to the Japanese news agency Kyodo, today the country's parliament approved the budget for the next fiscal year, which provides for record spending - more than 114 trillion yen (about $870 billion).

This decision was taken as part of the course taken by the Japanese government to significantly strengthen the country's defense capability over the course of five years.

The publication notes that the increase in budget spending is primarily associated with an increase in defense spending, which will amount to about 7 trillion yen (more than 52 billion dollars). Approximately $1,6 billion is planned for the purchase of Tomahawk cruise missiles from the United States.

It is expected that military spending will amount to more than 1% of the country's GDP, which was previously considered the limit for this budget item in Japan. And this despite the fact that the budget itself is in deficit - more than 35 trillion yen (more than 270 billion dollars) is missing, and the country's public debt is twice the GDP.

It must be understood that an increase in defense spending by Japan is a purely American requirement. Japan is under their complete control and has a national debt, not much less than the American one.

At the same time, the Japanese army is still called the Japan Self-Defense Forces? And where did the ban on the ability to have a regular army with offensive weapons go? Everything is forgotten, like the atomic bombing of Japanese cities by the Americans.

Should Americans not be thrown into the battle for Taiwan?
There are uk.r .. oh, the Japanese, there are so many of them, and it’s not a pity.
    To the last Japanese, banzai!

That's what the atomic bomb, life-giving, does! (almost a classic quote)
    Can we already bang?

The Russian Federation urgently needs to deploy hypersonic missile systems with nuclear warheads on Iturup and Kunashir to deter the United States and Japan.
The Japanese should sleep with their eyes wide open.

What if the Japanese don't sleep?
The 500 Tomahawk missiles that Japan plans to buy from the US this year are capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. And Japan currently has all the necessary materials and technologies in the use of nuclear energy, allowing it to acquire its own nuclear warhead within months, not years.
And if Russia deploys missile systems with nuclear warheads on Iturup and Kunashir and begins to threaten Japan with them (or God forbid, it will use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine), then no one will say a word to Japan when it wants to protect itself from a real Russian nuclear threat with its own nuclear weapons .

For Japan and South Korea, a nuclear bomb is a purely political decision. Moreover, the southerners will be able to collect even faster than the Japanese.

Iturup and Kunashir are at Japan's side, in contrast to mainland Russia.
Therefore, the Japanese will become very careful and polite.

I think Japan will not look at the deployment of nuclear weapons by Russia. She will simply create it and no one will tell her anything, as they did not tell Israel. But Russia should remember not about Taiwan, but about the Kurilals. The increase in the budget is not due to Taiwan.

In general, it's funny to watch how Russian propaganda diligently spins its head in the sand. The US won't attack China until it's done with Russia. China is not an ally of Russia and all these actions with Taiwan are nothing more than a red herring. China will be forced to invade Russia if all other countries, including Japan, start aggression. There are about the same number of Japanese in terms of population as Russians and twice as many as Russians in Russia. What to think about.

the Japanese have a strong fleet, especially submarines, bastions and balls, of course, they will give them a light, but this is a strong enemy, we need to be ready, and the Chinese too

Japan does not deny that their number one likely enemy is China. Due to tensions over the Senkoku Islands, in 1, Japan began to form an amphibious rapid deployment brigade.

The landing brigade was activated in a ceremony on April 7, 2018 at the JGSDF (Marine Self-Defense Force) camp, southwest Kyushu. The brigade was created (according to the Japanese) to protect the islands in the East China Sea, which are claimed by Japan, against the backdrop of rising Chinese defense spending and interest in the region. In connection with the defense of the Southwestern Islands, Japan has begun an F-35B launch program from its fleet of two Izumo-class "helicopter carrier" destroyers.

If I'm not mistaken, Japan's current defense spending allows it to take 9th place in the ranking of countries in terms of spending on "defense".

in Japan was considered the limit for this budget item

Prime Minister Kisida, who was made fun of here recently about his visit to Kyiv, is promoting the legislative 2% of GDP for the military:
The plan doubles defense spending to 2% of GDP per year, compared to Japan's 1% GDP spending limit in place since 1976.

Japan is also coming out of self-restrictions (remaining), Mitsubishi will be engaged in a medium-range ballistic missile (1000 km +) - launch plan as early as 25:
Japan starts to extend the range of its missiles to over 1,000 km
The new missiles will also be able to track targets and strike more precisely. Japan expects to complete technical and application tests for grounded missiles by fiscal 2025.

It is strange that at a time when even South Korea is "skimming the cream" from arms contracts (sometimes exporting faster than the South Caucasus army would like), Japan is self-arming and not exporting.
Although from riflemen, BT / AT and ships to aviation, Japan could make good money, and even elementary shells for artillery - but it does not sell.
    Strange.
