Türkiye is demonstrating further progress in the creation of unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes. On March 26, 2023, Baykar Technologies CTO Selçuk Bayraktar shared photos of the TB-3 Bayraktar unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UAV) for the first time.

In early 2021, Baykar announced that it was working on a new version of the unmanned vehicle, which is an improved version of the TV-2 drone. According to the company, the Bayraktar TB3 will be the world's first armed unmanned aerial vehicle capable of taking off and landing from ships with a short runway.
The official presentation of the drone is scheduled for April 27 - May 1, 2023. These days, at TEKNOFEST 2023, which will be held at the Istanbul airport, many technological innovations will be exhibited, among which there will be a ship drone. Unlike TV-2, TV-3 has a length of 8,35 m versus 6,5 m, a wingspan of 14 m instead of 12 m, a maximum weight of 1450 kg versus 700 kg. It can also lift almost twice as much cargo - 280 kg versus 150 kg.
In an interview with CNN Turk, the head of the Turkish Defense Agency (SSB), Ismail Demir, also named the approximate dates for the introduction of the drone into operation. This will happen at the end of 2023, Demir emphasized.
