North Korea conducted the second exercise in recent days with a simulated airborne nuclear explosion
North Korea has conducted an airborne nuclear explosion exercise, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). Pyongyang continues to improve its weapons.
On Monday, March 27, the armed forces of the DPRK simulated an air nuclear explosion using ballistic missiles. The launch was made from the outskirts of Pyongyang in an easterly direction, the conditional target was at an altitude of 500 meters above the sea surface in the province of Hamgyong Pukto.
This is the second exercise of its kind conducted in recent days. On March 18-19, the DPRK army also tested missiles, and at the same time tested a simulated "nuclear" warhead, carrying out its controlled air explosion, causing alarm from South Korea and Japan.
The worries of Seoul and Tokyo did not end there, Pyongyang conducted the second successful test of the sea drone "Heil-1", capable of carrying a nuclear charge. Testing of "strategic underwater weapons" took place from March 25 to 27, the drone was launched in the Wonsan Bay and independently arrived at the desired point off the coast of Hwade County, Hamgyongbuk-do Province, covering about 600 km in 41 hours and 27 minutes.
The drone also simulated a nuclear explosion, detonating a dummy nuclear weapon to create a "super powerful radioactive tsunami."
As stressed at the National Defense Academy of the DPRK, during the tests, the naval drone proved its reliability and ability to deliver a nuclear charge to the desired point.
