"Defense is due to military necessity": the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine visited the environs of Artyomovsk
Intense battles for Artemovsk continue. General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, who holds the post of commander of the Ground Forces, said that the situation in this sector of the front remains stably difficult for the Ukrainian troops.
This was reported by Ukrainian media.
The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine visited the vicinity of Artemovsk, which in Ukraine is called Bakhmut. According to him, Russian troops continue to advance, although they suffer losses.
- the Ukrainian general described the situation at length.
It is reported that during a trip to the front line, Syrsky assessed the situation and made a number of decisions regarding the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending here. The press of Ukraine claims that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces visited the hottest sections of the Artemovsky direction.
- reported in one of the publications.
But given that the most "hot" now is in Artemovsk itself, towards the center of which Russian forces are advancing with fighting, one can doubt that Syrsky visited the city itself.
Shortly before this, the general announced a possible imminent attempt at a Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Bakhmut area. He noted that mainly on this sector of the front, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are opposed by the fighters of the Wagner PMC.
