US Congresswoman: Warmongers in Ukraine will plunge Americans into economic problems unprecedented in our history
Member of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party Marjorie Taylor Green believes that her country's indirect involvement in the conflict in Ukraine will lead to unprecedented economic problems in the States themselves. The congresswoman wrote about this on her page on the social network.
According to a supporter of former US President Donald Trump, she warned at the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict that if Washington decides to wage a proxy war against Moscow, this could lead to the most negative consequences, up to replacing the dollar with the yuan in international settlements.
It is worth noting that partially Green's forecast has already begun to come true. Russia, against which the West has imposed unprecedented sanctions, has switched to mutual settlements in national currencies with some of its largest partners, including India and China. At the same time, the greatest risk for the United States is that Beijing and New Delhi are gradually refusing to pay in dollars for raw materials supplied by Russia (and not only Russia). Thus, the United States began to lose the ability to control financial flows 100%, since they are increasingly not in US dollars.
Recall that until recently, all contracts for the purchase / sale of oil were nominated exclusively in dollars. It was this agreement, concluded back in the days of US President Nixon, that acted as a guarantee of the existence and strength of the American currency.
writes the congresswoman.
Meanwhile, as it turned out, not all of Green's fellow party members are sane. Even quite recently, Republican Ron DeSantis, who opposed the continuation of "sponsoring" of Ukraine, sharply changed his position, calling our president a "war criminal". The Florida governor, who has come under fire from the US establishment, has decided not to risk his approval rating ahead of a presidential election in which he is likely to run.
Thus, there is no certainty that Marjorie Taylor Green will not give up her words for the sake of political ambitions.
