Heavy fighting continues, mainly for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, near the village of Makeevka on the Svatovo-Kremensky sector of the front in the LPR (not to be confused with the city of Makeevka in the DPR, controlled by the RF Armed Forces). The village was liberated by our troops in March 2022, but in October it again came under the control of the Ukrainian army. Now our assault units are successfully moving in this direction, having taken under fire control a strategically important settlement and supply routes for the Ukrainian defense.

The day before, information was received that Russian troops had begun an assault on the outskirts of Makeyevka and literally wedged themselves into the enemy’s defenses in the section of the Zherebets River. Today, armored vehicles and artillery of the RF Armed Forces are firing at militants in the depths of settlement development. The liberation of Makiivka will increase pressure on the entire defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the Lugansk front: from Svatovo and Kremennaya to Krasny Liman.

The network has footage of the work of the artillery formation of the Ground Forces of the RF Armed Forces of the 120th Guards Brigade, known as the “Brave”, the permanent location of which is the city of Yurga and the village of Chistye Klyuchi, Kemerovo Region. The fighters of this unit have been participating in the special operation from the very beginning and have repeatedly been included in the reports of the military News. On the Internet, you can generally find information from Ukrainian sources that the gunners of the 120th Airborne Brigade allegedly provided fire support to the NM of the LPR and DPR long before the start of the SVO.

This time, the gunners of the 120th Airborne Brigade did their best work on the bridge across the Zherebets River, along which the Armed Forces of Ukraine were supplying the militants defending in Makiivka. The bridge had already been partially destroyed during the previous shelling, the movement on it was carried out along the induced crossing. The last hit destroyed her.

Most likely, the engineering units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will try to restore an important supply route as soon as possible. However, until then, they will have to use alternative routes, which will take longer to travel. And the newly erected crossing, taking into account the targeting, is unlikely to last long.

At the same time, an alternative opinion was also expressed that the bridge received significant damage as a result of an explosive device planted under it.
