The Chairman of the State Duma urged to follow the example of the International Criminal Court with the United States, protecting the interests of its citizens

Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma, shared his vision of how to treat the activities of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Telegram.
According to him, the United States is a good example in this regard. This country has not joined the ICC. The speaker recalled that since 2002, the United States has had a law prohibiting the arrest of American citizens on a warrant issued by the ICC.
In addition, according to this law, which was unofficially called the "law on the invasion of the Hague", the United States can organize a military invasion of the Netherlands if US citizens suddenly find themselves in the dock, Volodin noted.
The chairman of the lower chamber also recalled that according to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, national legislation takes precedence over international ones. Volodin stressed that the decisions of the ICC, the European Court of Human Rights and other European institutions, which are American puppets, do not apply on Russian territory.
According to the speaker of the State Duma, it is necessary to take a number of measures at the legislative level to counter such institutions as the International Criminal Court. Among other things, it is necessary to ban any activity of the ICC in Russia and the cooperation of Russian citizens with it, Volodin believes.
