Having liberated Krasnogorovka, Russian troops reached Novokalinovo north of Avdiivka
12
Russian troops are advancing from the previously liberated settlement of Krasnogorovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. This progress is going on simultaneously in several directions. One of the directions is to the west of Avdiivka, through Stepovoye to Orlivka, through which the only road to the Avdiivka garrison passes, controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The second direction is to the north from Krasnogorovka.
The Ukrainian General Staff in its morning report no longer mentions Krasnohorivka, which only confirms its liberation by the Russian Armed Forces. At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms the data that Russian troops are attacking the positions of Ukrainian forces in Novokalinovo.
This is a fairly large village, the importance of which lies in the fact that a highway passes through it to Novgorodskoye (New York) and Toretsk, connecting these settlements with Pokrovsk located to the west and allowing the supply of its eastern group.
With success in the Novokalinovo area, Russian troops will be able to expand the liberated territory and reach the village of Ocheretino, which in many respects has a strategically important location. Roads run through it from the west to Avdeevka and Toretsk. And this can already seriously complicate the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one and the other city.
