The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms the fighting near the villages of Lastochkino and Berdychi - not far from the road along which the Armed Forces of Ukraine are supplied in Avdiivka
The Ukrainian General Staff publishes a morning summary in which it talks about the Ukrainian vision of the state of affairs on the fronts. Behind a thick coating of propaganda, interesting details are hidden. For example, one of these is the operation of Russian troops to cover Avdiivka, a city located northwest of Donetsk.
In the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is reported that Russian troops are carrying out attacks both on the city of Avdiivka itself and to the north-west of it. It is in the northwest that the only road to the city remaining under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is located.
The report of the Ukrainian military department says that the fighting is going on in the area of the village of Berdychi. This village is located to the west of the village of Stepovoe, previously taken by the RF Armed Forces. At the same time, Berdychi is, in fact, part of a single agglomeration in the north-west of Avdiivka, which, in addition to the Berdychi themselves, consists of Semyonovka and Orlovka.
It is through the settlement of Orlivka that the only road passes that connects the Ukrainian garrison in Avdiivka with the western direction. But even this road is being shot through by Russian artillery, including from the south.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms the fighting in the area of the village of Lastochkino. It practically adjoins Avdeevka and is located on the road to Orlovka.
Thus, the advance in the Avdiivka area of the Russian troops is such that they are getting closer to the road along which the enemy’s Avdiivka garrison is being supplied. To cut it means to slam the lid of the emerging cauldron.
