Advisor to the President of Ukraine proposed to reduce the price limit for Russian oil by two or three times

Oleg Ustenko, an adviser on economic issues to the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, has proposed lowering the price limit set by the West for Russian oil to $10-20 per barrel, while the current limit is $60.
According to Newsweek, Ustenko announced Kiev's desire to halve the previously set limit, to about $30 per barrel, while Zelensky's adviser added that he considers the ceiling for Russian oil prices at $10-20 to be the most optimal.
According to him, the Russian Federation is currently making "much smaller profits" compared to what was recorded before the West imposed price limits on Russian oil. According to Ustenko, the introduction of a lower price limit for Russian oil will have "serious and important consequences" for Russia.
Western oil sanctions on Russian energy prices came into effect in December last year. The EU countries have stopped accepting Russian oil transported by sea, and the G7 countries, Australia and the EU have introduced a maximum price level for its transportation by sea at $60 per barrel, and have also banned insurance for such cargo.
In response to this step, the Russian government imposed a ban on oil supplies to foreign buyers from February 1, if the terms of contracts directly or indirectly provide for fixing a price limit imposed by the authorities of the United States and other unfriendly countries.
