Deputy head of Ukrainian military intelligence predicted a change in the targets of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine
With winter coming to an end, the Russian armed forces may change tactics and not consider Ukrainian energy infrastructure as a priority target for their missile strikes. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky.
According to a high-ranking Ukrainian intelligence officer, such a decision by the RF Armed Forces could allegedly be made due to the fact that in the warm months strikes on energy facilities are less painful, and it was not possible to completely destroy the Ukrainian energy system during this winter. Skibitsky believes that missile strikes will be redirected to military facilities, including places of deployment and concentration of troops, logistics centers of Ukrainian formations.
The Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine believes that the latest missile strikes carried out by the Russian armed forces against targets on Ukrainian territory were directed specifically against military targets.
In particular, attacks on the night of March 17-18 and on the night of March 21-22 aimed at defeating fuel and lubricants bases in Novomoskovsk, Zhytomyr, and mercenary deployment sites in the Yavoriv district of the Lviv region. Skibitsky acknowledged that in this case, Russian troops were aiming at logistics centers and locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Also, the deputy head of the Ukrainian military intelligence classified oil refineries, defense industry plants, hydraulic and sewage treatment facilities, airports and airfields, as well as routes for the supply of military equipment from Western countries to high-risk objects. Skibitsky stressed that Russia is constantly reconnaissance of these objects.
