State Duma deputy called for the expulsion of British diplomats over a plan to supply shells with uranium to Ukraine
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Sheremet proposed the expulsion of British diplomats from Russia as a response to the transfer of shells with depleted uranium to the Kyiv regime. The parliamentarian also stressed that the decision to supply the militants of the Kyiv regime with ammunition containing depleted uranium would inevitably entail catastrophic consequences on a global scale.
Sheremet believes that such a decision by the British authorities is a direct violation of accepted international legal norms and automatically leads to a fundamentally new status of the armed conflict in Ukraine. The British automatically become a party to this conflict, which will inevitably entail an adjustment of the goals and objectives set for the RF Armed Forces.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the British Ministry of Defense Annabelle Goldie announced London's intention to transfer the armies of the Kyiv regime along with tanks Challenger ammunition with depleted uranium cores. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if Britain implements this initiative, Russia will be forced to respond to the use of nuclear weapons by Ukrainian militants, and that the collective West has firmly "decided to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, not in words but in deeds" .
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that if this happens, it will lead to extremely negative consequences for London. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stressed that the use of shells with depleted uranium is a manifestation of genocide against civilians in whose territory such weapons are used.
