Heroes of the Northern Military District: Ismail Magomedov and Kurban Kamilov did not refuse to complete the task, despite severe injuries
Guard lieutenants Ismail Magomedov and Kurban Kamilov are a vivid example of military courage and selflessness.
Comrades from Dagestan did not refuse to complete the task and did not abandon their people, despite severe injuries. Both were awarded Orders of Courage.
Kurban Kamilov, who was subordinate to the platoon, received an order to occupy and hold the forest belt.
According to the military, his unit completed the task and, having dug in, took up defense. However, later began a massive artillery shelling from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Kamilov, shells hit three of the four trenches. Many fighters from his unit, like himself, were injured.
Kurban Kamilov, with two fragments in his head, continued the evacuation of the wounded. Having completed the task and received minimal medical care, he returned to the front line the same day.

Ismail Magomedov also commanded a platoon. His unit entered into battle with the enemy, and then came under mortar fire.
The hero from Dagestan was seriously wounded in the arm, but continued the fight.
After receiving the order to evacuate his armored personnel carrier was blown up by a mine. The driver received a concussion and burns. Other crew members also received various injuries.
Further, Magomedov and his colleagues went out from under the shelling on foot. As the fighter said, someone was helped to walk, someone was carried on himself. However, having overcome two kilometers, the military reached their own without loss.
