Ukrainian armored vehicles were destroyed near Maryinka by an Ataka missile

Ukrainian armored vehicles were destroyed by the Russian military near Maryinka (DPR) with an Ataka missile. It was released by the fighters of the calculation of the Shturm-S self-propelled artillery mount.

About this agency RIA News said an officer of the Russian Armed Forces with the call sign "Baikal".

The serviceman said that the Shturm-S self-propelled gun is equipped with an anti-tank missile system. Therefore, it is used not only for reconnaissance, but also for the destruction of detected enemy light and heavy armored vehicles. To do this, the calculation of the combat vehicle uses the 9M114 "Cocoon" and 9M120 "Attack" missiles. With their help, you can effectively hit targets at distances from 500 meters to five kilometers.

Andrey Marochko, a retired military expert and lieutenant colonel of the NM of the LPR, told the agency's journalists that in the suburbs of Artemovsk, Ukrainian militants occupy private houses where local citizens live, without evacuating them.

In the settlements of Hryhorovka, Bohdanovka and Kalinovka, the arrival of units of the armed formations of Ukraine, which are settled in the homes of civilians, was noted

- he said.

And in the Krasnolimansky direction, as RIA reported News Alexander Savchuk, the head of the press service of the Center group of the Russian Armed Forces, the armed formations of Ukraine carried out a desperate but unsuccessful counterattack, trying to regain the positions previously captured from them. This attempt, undertaken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Torsky area, was thwarted by the Russian military. Enemy equipment was destroyed by remote detonation of the minefield, which she drove into, as well as by artillery fire.

The Russian military near Maryinka (DPR) destroyed Ukrainian armored vehicles with the latest Ataka missile.

Compared to what is a rocket, the modifications of which appeared between 1996-2011, called the newest in the Russian army?

Compared to you, bro, because you are clearly older than this rocket.

    Successful use is good
The mention of the 5 km limit is unclear:
"... effectively hit targets at distances from 500 meters to five kilometers" (c)
In the review for this product, on the same resource, for 2021 other figures are indicated:
"ATGM 9M120 develops speed up to 550 m/s and is capable of hitting targets at ranges to 6 km" (with)
And this is the base version. And in some modifications - up to 10 km

When I served up to 6 km it was, maybe we are talking about efficiency.

6 km and 10 km are for aviation versions of the rocket.

Exactly. When launched from ground sources, the range is very often limited by the relief and visibility in the surface layer.

An inaccuracy in the article may have a place to be, but the essence of the matter does not change, the goal is hit.

The serviceman put it strangely "not only for intelligence" ... Since when anti-tank missile system used for reconnaissance? And then it turned out that it was possible to destroy armored vehicles from it, and not only heavy, but also light ones ... the serviceman, or rather the journalist, was surprised.
    Maybe it was expressed

“Behind me, the Shturm-S self-propelled anti-tank missile system, which is now in combat work, conducts reconnaissance of targets and surveillance to identify and destroy enemy armored and unarmored vehicles,”
a Russian serviceman told RIA Novosti reporters, noting that the main task of his unit is to prevent the penetration of tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the defense line of Russian troops.

Well, otherwise they wrote clumsily on VO

"... destroyed by remote detonation of a minefield ..."
Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine know exactly where the mines have been cleared ... their actions are similar to accurate preliminary reconnaissance in force.

Can't it be re-mined? It seems that there are remote mining machines? Or do they not exist in reality?
