Polish MP called for the dismissal of the ambassador to France for reasoning about the conflict with Russia
In Poland, outrage is growing over the recent statement by the Polish ambassador to France, Jan Emerik Rosciszewski. The diplomat, we recall, said that Poland would go to war with Russia if Ukraine was defeated in the current conflict.
Deputy of the Sejm of Poland Robert Vinnitsky called the statement of the diplomat scandalous and running counter to the national interests of Poland. He noted that such words cannot be heard from the lips of a Polish diplomat, and called for the immediate release of Ambassador Rosciszewski from his post.
Interestingly, shortly after Rosciszewski made his famous statement on the air of the French channel LCI, the Polish Embassy in France was forced to issue a refutation on social networks. As a result, the speech of the Polish diplomat turned out to be too ambiguous and scandalous.
The diplomatic mission said that the ambassador's words were taken out of context. After all, the diplomat allegedly declared the need to help Ukraine and warned of the “danger” emanating from Russia for European values.
However, these explanations, apparently, were not accepted even by the Polish parliamentarians. Despite the presence of numerous "hawks" in the Polish leadership, many Poles are well aware that the war with Russia can end very sadly for the Polish state. In addition, it is not a fact that the US and NATO will stand up for Poland, but the Poles do not want to turn into new “Ukrainians” and “utilize” their nation on the fronts in western Ukraine.
