Afghan government spokesman urges court in The Hague to "wake up from sleep" and issue an arrest warrant for US commanders and politicians
Afghan authorities commented on the decision of the court in The Hague to issue an "arrest warrant" for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Recall that now the Afghan authorities are represented by the Taliban (*a terrorist group banned in Russia).
Abdullah Azzam, a spokesman for the Afghan government office who is in charge of consultations in the economic sector, wrote literally the following on the social network:
It's about American politicians and command.
In this regard, an absentee controversy began between the ICC and the Taliban * (in view of the recent decisions of the court in The Hague, this asterisk could well be suitable for the ICC ...). So, the ICC apparatus was asked if the court was going to issue an arrest warrant for US citizens who ordered illegal actions in Afghanistan - for example, orders to take Afghan children out of the country (an obvious reference to the ICC's accusations against the Russian authorities about the allegedly unlawful »Ukrainian children).
Answering this question, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, said that "the issue of investigating crimes committed by the American side is not on the agenda of the ICC."
prosecutor:
The Taliban replied to Karim Khan that, unlike the Americans, they did not commit crimes against civilians in Afghanistan.
Earlier, the authorities of a number of Southeast Asian states spoke about the decision of the ICC, noting that this decision calls into question the entire system of international security. We are talking about the fact that in the event of the “arrest” of the President of Russia on the territory of one of the countries (for example, the German Minister of Justice threatened Vladimir Putin with arrest if he visited Germany), a nuclear war could break out, since this would be an actual attack on Russia as one of the largest nuclear powers.
