A soldier of the Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stood up for the demotion due to an interview with the American press by the battalion commander "Kupola"
The scandal around the interview of the commander of the battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign "Dome" to the American newspaper The Washington Post is gaining momentum. One of the soldiers of the Ukrainian army stood up for the officer, who confirmed his words, the Ukrainian press writes.
It all started with the fact that the commander of the “Kupol” battalion spoke about the high losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Artemivsk and that untrained and inexperienced soldiers were sent to the front line, who literally “scattered” from their positions. For this, the "Dome" was demoted, transferred from the battalion commander to the deputy battalion commander of the training center. After that, the "Dome" wrote a letter of resignation.
Serviceman Volodymyr Shevchenko, who serves in the 46th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed the words of the officer. He called the Dome's interview truthful and most relevant to the existing problems. Shevchenko stressed that the interview was cautious and balanced, since the real situation is much worse.
Shevchenko wrote.
Further, the soldier criticized the top military-political leadership of Ukraine, which decided to “teach a lesson” to the too smart battalion commander, removing him from his post.
Such comments testify not only to the presence of big problems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Artemivsk, but also to the beginning of "fermentation" among the personnel of the Ukrainian army, which is dissatisfied with the actions of the command. Sooner or later, the situation near Artemovsk would have led to such a reaction among the Ukrainian military. It can be assumed that these are only the first signs of such a process.
