Florida Gov. DeSantis Speaks Out Against US 'Endless Assistance' to Ukraine

Generous support for the Kyiv regime at the expense of the American budget cannot be “endless” and is not in the spectrum of the most important US interests. This was stated on Fox News by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who represents the Republican Party.

As the politician noted, the United States currently has a lot of primary problems. But "the territorial dispute between Russia and Ukraine," DeSantis said, is not on the list of priority issues for the United States.

According to DeSantis, the US cannot prioritize a "foreign war" at a time when it faces a huge problem. The Governor of Florida recalled that tens of thousands of American citizens die every year from drugs. Substances are smuggled into the United States through the almost open southern border.

Recall that another prominent Republican, former President Donald Trump, also advocates for the need for strict border controls on the border with Mexico. He, like DeSantis, also criticizes financial assistance to the Kyiv regime.

Note that many American analysts consider DeSantis as one of the likely candidates from the Republican Party for the presidency of the United States in 2024. In addition to loud statements, DeSantis has an excellent trump card against the incumbent President Joe Biden - youth: the governor of Florida is only 45 years old, he is more than three decades younger than either Biden or Trump. Therefore, the probability of DeSantis' victory in the elections cannot be ruled out, and in this case, a lot can really change for the Kyiv regime.

This is nonsense. The US economy is quite capable of carrying such a burden without even straining. Yes, they are still making money off of it. In World War II, they had much more expenses and they pulled out more and put the world on a dollar.

The problems with inflation and the banking crisis do not agree with you. And as for earnings, you were in a hurry: shifting from one pocket to another is not earnings. And Ukraine has not yet begun to pay its debts.

During the Second World War, the United States produced up to half of the world's GDP, now it is about 15, not to mention the accumulated debt and the reduction in investments in this debt by other states. So it's getting harder to print dollars

Here, before WWII, no one knew the states. During WWII, they rose. And as for earnings - do not be lazy, read the reports of at least the largest companies.
Pull ukroinu-it's not strained them. Absolutely, the same Vietnam cost them many times more. And yes, they are taking our gas market with their LNG.
Inflation rates have decreased, gasoline has fallen in price

Well, firstly. He is Trump's fellow party member. So they are blowing the same tune.

He is Trump's COMPETITOR and a competitor more dangerous than any Democrat, as he is young and has a lot of supporters in the Republican Party. And most importantly, before going to the general election of the President of the United States, these two will have to go through the "selection" stage within their "native" party and it is not a fact that Trump will be able to defeat DeSantis there

our diplomats, since Soviet times, have constantly played number two, with one thought - no matter what happens, we are slurping the consequences today, because this spineless policy has not changed

If the Republicans win a non-presidential election, it is far from certain that they will change the existing policy.

confrontation will remain - it will have a national coloring

Here, and believing the words of American politicians is doubly stupid, Zelensky promised a lot of things, and here is the result, the election campaign is just going on and they say what the voter wants to hear from them, and then oh and oh, it didn’t work out, “well, I couldn’t, I couldn’t " hi

Trump and Dukantis need to go to the polls in 2024 together: fix the economy, moderate Zelensky's appetite, put forward acceptable peace initiatives; then in 2028 and 2032 Mike will have a very serious chance of winning.

Opposition politicians always criticize the current government in order to come to power themselves. And then these politicians come to power and do the same thing as those they criticized. If not more.
DeSantis criticizes Democrats for helping Ukraine because he wants to be the next US president. But if he becomes one, then it would be naive to expect that a politician who declares Reagan his ideal, who will be elected on the money of the American arms lobby, will stop the arms race.

The American military-industrial complex is the traditional purse of the Republicans, and it receives such profit from this war that it never dreamed of until 2022. And he plans to keep getting it. And without gun money, DeSantis will never become president.
Does anyone really hope that when DeSantis becomes President of the United States, he will go against his sponsors?

I have been following Governor DeSantis for a long time and I think he would be the best president in US history. But he does not get along very well with Trump, Trump insults and denigrates him. DeSantis is much better than Trump, Russia would have no problem agreeing with him on everything. Trump is a chatterer, talks a lot.. but in reality he supports the old order of the CIA and does not care about hundreds of military bases in the world, even on Earth!
