An attempt on the life of PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky was prevented on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. This was reported by the Ministry of State Security of Pridnestrovie.

According to the Ministry of State Security of the PMR, those suspected of preparing for the physical elimination of the president of the country were detained by the republican special services. Now they are under investigation and operational measures.

The Ministry of State Security of the PMR claims that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was the organizer of the assassination attempt. The Kiev regime is trying with all its might to destabilize the situation in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. First of all, the Ukrainian authorities want to achieve the liquidation of the pro-Russian state entity, as well as to seize ammunition from warehouses on the territory of the republic.

Earlier it was reported about the increased concentration of Ukrainian formations on the border with Transnistria. Despite the attempts of the Kyiv regime to refute its aggressive attitude towards the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, it is obvious that the concentration of troops is clearly not carried out with the aim of protecting Ukrainian territory. There is no reason for the PMR itself or the Russian peacekeepers on its territory to invade Ukraine.

Vadim Krasnoselsky, 52, was elected president of the PMR in 2016. Prior to that, he was the speaker of the republican Supreme Council, and even earlier he served in the Transnistrian police for many years, has a special rank of major general of police.
