Bloomberg: The US is alarmed that the main world supplies of fertilizers come from Russia, Belarus and China

The US authorities are alarmed that the world's main fertilizer supplies come from Russia, Belarus and China. This was reported by Bloomberg news agency.

As the authors of the publication note, mineral fertilizers have now become an instrument of influence on the world market, while the leading countries in this direction - Russia and China, skillfully use it. Although agricultural products from the Russian Federation are not subject to restrictive measures, their supply has been severely curtailed, since problems with shipping and unblocking ports, conducting money transactions are still not resolved due to the fact that Russian banks remain under sanctions. Barriers also remain on insurance issues.

It should be noted that in the period from March to September 2022, the export of Russian fertilizers decreased by 38 percent compared to 2021. All this is due to the obstruction in the insurance and chartering of ships engaged in the transport of these products, along with the implementation of bank payments.

It is not surprising that in this regard, the Russian Federation had no choice but to introduce from January 1 this year export duties on all types of mineral fertilizers in the amount of 23,5%. From now on, it will be charged if world prices exceed $450/t (approximately 33,6 thousand rubles). Another measure to regulate the supply of this type of product abroad was the decision of the Russian government to extend the quotas for its export for 180 days, until May 31, 2023. The value is set at 7,013 million tons.

      They don't need fertilizer

they just need Russian fertilizers, like Russian oil and gas, but sooo cheap, and better - free of charge. The embargo and sanctions are aimed at that - to give up everything for a while, but then get it all for free

Let them not worry - Russia will supply fertilizers in excess - war is war, and dollars in your pocket crunch nicely.

As an agricultural worker, I will say one thing - without fertilizers there will be horseradish, not a Harvest. Since the times of the USSR, we have been the main suppliers of mineral fertilizers to the market - nitrogen and potash. Of course they can build a powerful industry for the production of fertilizers, only the question of the price of this and the price of the final product. And hence the food prices

The largest fertilizer producers in the world are China (about 30% share), USA (13%), Russia (12%), India (10%) and Canada (9%).
The largest producers, with the exception of Russia, are focused on internal market, so Russia is the world's largest exporter.
The largest fertilizer importing countries: Brazil (12,5% of all world fertilizer imports), India (10,4%), USA (8,5%), China (4,2%), France (2,9%).

Let's just say I don't like the fact that we still export something to the US at all. It is time to end any export to unfriendly countries, be it fertilizer, gas, oil or uranium.

      or uranium

With uranium, it turned out ugly in general. Gore-Chernomyrdin deal in the 90s, when 500 tons of Russian weapons-grade uranium produced in centrifuges were smashed / processed for US nuclear power plants. sad

All sorts of insane people like "Ukrainians" wander around without a purpose in life, because Russia, Belarus and China are leaders in the supply of fertilizers to the world market. The pattern is on the face of the Bloomberg agency. request

Too many brows. While some are distracting us with all sorts of stories about running out of ammunition, others are baiting us about supposedly running out of food and fertilizer - our troops were pinned down by an organized endless assault on Bakhmut - and in the meantime, sharovarniks were accumulating a powerful force far from the front. And now there is a risk that this unit will storm Transnistria with its bottomless military depots. Just in time for the speech of our guarantor, they have everything worked out and is ready.

All this is wonderful! Less fertilizer on the European market means more money for the Russian budget. But the question arises: why are fertilizers produced in Russia sold at world prices on the domestic market? And in general, all products (metal, wood, equipment, etc.) produced in Russia are sold at some unthinkable prices? If earlier we were told that this is happening in connection with the dollar, now what is the reason? Russia is moving away from the influence of the dollar. At least that's what the government says. Lie again?

If they were "skillfully used", then the conversations now on the part of all the Blinkins-Mlinkins were more moderate. And even the lazy one already offers how to bend Russia ....
    And yes, Happy Holidays everyone!
