Currently, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is increasing the number of Ukrainian formations in the Krasnolymansky direction. This was announced by a military expert, Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic, retired Andrei Marochko.
According to Marochko, the main goal of increasing the contingent of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to strengthen the defensive lines in the area of Slavyansk and Krasny Liman. Also, new units will guard alternative crossings across the Seversky Donets River.
On the Krasnolimansky direction in the area of the settlement of Nikolaevka, the arrival of units [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine] that were previously deployed in the Kherson direction and in the city of Kharkiv
Note that the Ukrainian command expects a large-scale offensive by Russian troops in different directions. One of the goals of the offensive is the Kharkov region. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine admit the possibility of an offensive in the Zaporozhye direction and even an attempt to break into the Kyiv region from the north.
Meanwhile, in the Krasnolimansky direction, serious battles are still going on between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Yesterday, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, announced the liquidation of more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers during the day in this direction. The fear of larger-scale successes of the RF Armed Forces in this area is what forces the Ukrainian command to transfer additional reserves here.
