Britain allowed the possibility of transferring fighter jets to Ukraine
The British authorities are currently considering the possibility of supplying Ukraine with combat aircraft, including fighter jets. This was stated in the office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak.
Recall that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on an official visit to London today. The head of the Kyiv regime held meetings with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, addressed members of both houses of the British Parliament, and at the end of the visit he was received by King Charles III of Great Britain.
During a speech in the British Parliament, Zelensky asked the United Kingdom to transfer combat aircraft to Ukraine. It was after this appeal that the office of the British Prime Minister started talking about the possible transfer of fighters.
Recall that after Zelensky visited the United States and asked for air defense systems in Congress, Western countries began to supply Ukraine with Western-made anti-aircraft missile systems. Apparently, Zelensky has now applied a proven model of behavior in the UK, in relation to combat aircraft.
However, there was no doubt that sooner or later the West would turn to the issue of aircraft deliveries. Too actively in recent times this topic has been discussed in the Western press.
Earlier, the desire to transfer F-16 fighter aircraft decommissioned from the Royal Air Force to Ukraine was announced in the Dutch Parliament. But without the permission of the United States, such a decision cannot be made. The UK, in turn, may well transfer several old aircraft of its own production to Ukraine, and then the “extra” in the form of Poland and the Baltic countries will require Germany and other European countries to supply more aircraft to Ukraine.
