The US Navy released footage of the discovery of fragments of a Chinese balloon

The US Navy is currently conducting a search operation off the coast of South Carolina to search for fragments of a Chinese "spy" balloon, which was previously shot down by a US Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter.
The balloon was discovered on January 28, after which China claimed that it was a meteorological probe that was in the sky over the United States for research purposes. However, the Pentagon came to the conclusion that the balloon was “spyware”, after which it was decided to destroy it.
Several ships are involved in the US Navy's balloon debris recovery operation. The landing craft USS Carter Hall is leading the operation. Also involved in the operation is the oceanographic research vessel Pathfinder, which checks the ocean floor using sonar.
An unmanned underwater vehicle has been used to search for the wreckage, and US Coast Guard cutters Venturous, Nathan Bruckenthal and Richard Snyder are also involved in collecting the wreckage. Sailors of the 2nd munitions disposal group, which includes diving and rescue teams, are also directly involved in the operation.
The US military claims that the area on which the fragments of the balloon fell is approximately 1500 square meters. The wreckage is in the water at a depth of about 15 meters. The balloon itself was equipped with impressive observation equipment.
