The Russian Emergencies Ministry sent 2 aircraft to Syria to deal with the consequences of a major earthquake. Transport workers must take off from the Moscow airport. At the same time, 2 planes also arrived at the airport in the Turkish city of Adana, carrying more than 100 Russian doctors and rescuers. The day before, another earthquake of magnitude 7,6 was recorded, as a result of which some Syrian provinces were also affected. 960 people became victims of tremors in the SAR, and about 1,4 thousand were injured.
As noted by Turkish geophysicist Ahmet Ercan, the power of shocks in the southeast of the country is comparable to the explosion of 130 atomic bombs.

According to the data provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the military has already begun work in the Syrian cities of Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, as well as the settlements of Jebla, Stam and Bustan el-Basha.
