The government of the Bryansk region introduced an indefinite level of high terrorist threat
Almost from the very beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the territory of the Bryansk region has been regularly subjected to terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which civilian objects are destroyed, there are victims. The day before, Ukrainian nationalists fired a Tochka-U rocket at the Druzhba oil pipeline passing through the region. Fortunately, the projectile did not reach the target, the rocket fell near the Novozybkov oil pumping station, no one was injured.
On October 19 last year, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, eight regions, including the Bryansk region, introduced a medium level of response. This implies, in particular, strengthening the protection of public order and an increased level of security at energy facilities. However, these measures are obviously no longer enough to ensure security in the region.
Today, an official announcement was published on the website of the government of the Bryansk region that from 14.00 local time in the region, a high (yellow) level of terrorist threat begins indefinitely, until a special order to cancel. The increased security was introduced in connection with information from law enforcement agencies about the continuing threat of a terrorist act and in order to prevent it, the government said in a statement.
The new regime for combating terrorist acts does not infringe on the rights and freedoms of citizens, its introduction is aimed at increasing the interaction of state bodies to ensure security and eliminating identified threats, the leadership of the region notes.
The website of the government of the Bryansk region also provides detailed recommendations to citizens on strengthening precautionary measures during the period of the anti-terrorist regime, the contact numbers of law enforcement and emergency services are indicated.
