The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms Russian attacks in the direction of the village of Yampolovka, which is 12 km from Krasny Liman
The Ukrainian General Staff in its morning report confirms the information that Russian troops are attacking west of the Svatovo-Kremennaya line. In the evening and at night, the RF Armed Forces advanced in a number of sectors of the front. One of these areas was the direction to the village of Yampolovka, which is northeast of Krasny Liman.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine writes that “attacks on Yampolovka were repelled”, however, given how many General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “repelled attacks on Soledar” after the city came under the complete control of the Russian army, questions arise as to whether this statement of the Ukrainian command can trust.
Yampolovka is the central link of the enemy defense line in the Nevskoye-Terny-Torskoye section. From Yampolovka to the northeastern outskirts of Krasny Liman, about 20 km along the "angular" road and about 12 km in a straight line. The access of Russian troops to Yampolovka allows the enemy to be pushed back several kilometers from the city of Kremennaya, creating at least a “gray zone” in the direction of Kremennaya-Yampol (on the administrative border of the LPR and the DPR).
Earlier, a representative of the Ukrainian command, Cherevaty, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine "temporarily suspended the offensive in the Liman direction, since adequate modern military science speaks of the need for this." He also stated that "the Ukrainian army is not Russian, and will not attack where there are not enough forces and means." Whether it is possible, on this basis, to draw an unambiguous conclusion about the insufficiency of forces and means of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the west of Kreminnaya, the coming weeks will show.
