Without heavy equipment and shells, tanks cannot be stopped, no matter how heroic you show. Moreover, the available reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are tied up. They guard the Belarusian border (about 20 thousand people), the coast in the area of ​​​​Odessa and Nikolaev (about the same grouping, including the Ukrainian Navy), the rear of the Donetsk front in the area of ​​​​Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye (from 15 to 25 thousand people) and Kyiv (up to ten thousand, not counting the troops located on the Belarusian border). Everything that could be removed from Western Ukraine, including border guards, as well as from the Chernigov-Sumy-Kharkov section, has already been thrown to the front. The problem of replenishing the active army is so acute that a 50% reduction in the reservation for workers of enterprises working for defense and enterprises serving critical infrastructure.
