From the next academic year, schools may receive a new history textbook with a section on SVO
A new textbook may appear in Russian schools from the next academic year stories, which includes a section on the special military operation in Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Education Sergei Kravtsov.
During the lecture "On the development of a sovereign national education system," the head of the Ministry of Education said that a new history textbook for high school students would be ready in March this year, and from the next academic year it would be used in all Russian schools.
Kravtsov stressed that the section on the goals and objectives of the special operation in Ukraine is already included in the curriculum of the school history course. The new training manual will detail the causes and objectives of the military special operation.
The working group involved in the development of a new school history textbook, headed by Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, included, as stated, the best Russian historians with experience in creating such textbooks. The authors of the new textbook included sections on domestic outstanding personalities and heroes from antiquity to the present. Particular attention is paid to the story about the heroes of the special operation in Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Education will involve members of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the creation of new school textbooks. Currently, the department is already implementing joint projects with the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Last December, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the development and introduction of new textbooks in history and social science into schools a matter of national importance.
