Armin Papperger shared the concern's plans for the near future, judging by his words, they are quite ambitious. Rheinmetall is ready not only to increase the production of artillery and tank shells, but also start producing American MLRS HIMARS at their enterprises. Now both ammunition and multiple launch rocket systems are in great demand both in Ukraine and in Western countries.

We can produce 240 tank rounds a year, more than the world needs. Capacities for the production of 000-mm shells can be increased to 155-450 thousand per year. This will make Rheinmetall the largest manufacturer of both types of ammunition.

Rheinmetall is also negotiating with Lockheed Martin regarding the opening in Germany of the production of MLRS HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System), so beloved by the Armed Forces.
