Advisor to the head of the DPR: Russian troops occupied the eastern and southeastern outskirts of Vugledar
Russian troops during the fighting knocked out the enemy and occupied the eastern and southeastern outskirts of the city of Ugledar. This was reported by the adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Jan Gagin.
According to Gagin, expressed in an interview with RIA News, at present, the forces participating in the special operation are occupied by summer cottages that are directly adjacent to urban development. Fierce fighting continues there.
The adviser to the acting head of the DPR also added that the assault on Vugledar is complicated by the presence of a vast industrial zone used by militants of the Kyiv regime by analogy with the Soledar salt mines or the cellars of the Mariupol Azovstal.
Yan Gagin also added that the enemy forces in the area resemble a "motley patchwork quilt" consisting of representatives of various units and branches of the armed forces, often deprived of communications and the possibility of interaction.
The commander of the battalion "Vostok" Alexander Khodakovsky in his Telegram channel recalled that in November last year, Russian troops managed to take control of the village of Pavlovka, located near Ugledar, after which the main vector of the offensive shifted towards a holiday village in the vicinity of Ugledar.
Currently, according to Khodakovsky, hostilities continue, which are going on with varying degrees of success. Active work is fixed on both sides tanks and artillery.
The commander of the "Vostok" brigade called the battle on the outskirts of Ugledar the "Kulikov field" in the struggle for this small settlement.
