The death of a black American at the hands of the police caused a new wave of protests in the United States

In the United States, the actions of the police once again caused the death of an African American, which caused protests in the cities of the country.
The protests began after a video was released showing five police officers brutally beating 29-year-old black American Tyre Nichols. The footage showed that the “guardians of the order” used a stun gun and a baton, and also kicked and punched the man in the face, although he did not offer any resistance. At the same time, it is worth noting that the policemen who beat Nichols were themselves African Americans.
About half an hour after the incident, the man was hospitalized, and Nichols died in the hospital three days later.
Why they tried to arrest Nichols in general is still unknown, but at the first attempt to arrest him, he tried to escape, after which the police caught up with him and began to beat him.
Demonstrations have begun in New York and Chicago, and are expected soon in other cities around the country. Protesters hold signs with the slogans "Justice for Tyre Nichols" and "End Police Terror".
American police officers have repeatedly allowed actions leading to the death of black citizens of the country, which has led to mass protests in the recent past.
